Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, better known as NMIMS, Mumbai, was founded in 1981. It is managed by the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) trust and is recognized by the UGC and accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade. Additionally, the institute’s School of Business Management holds the prestigious AACSB accreditation. From its beginnings as a single management institute, NMIMS has evolved into a diverse university with around 17 specialized schools and multiple campuses across India. However, its main Mumbai campus continues to be the central hub for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. In the NIRF Rankings 2025, NMIMS Mumbai secured 24th place for MBA and 95th overall, while Collegedunia placed it 19th for management. Its MBA program is the centerpiece of the university, with first-year fees set at INR 13.5 Lakhs. The NMAT cutoff is approximately 209, and on average, placements offer packages of INR 25 LPA, with the highest going above INR 67 LPA. Other renowned programs include BBA, B.Com, and B.Sc Economics. For BBA (Finance), the first-year fee is INR 7 LPA with an NPAT cutoff between 78-80%. The annual fees for B.Com and B.Sc Economics are INR 2.6 LPA and INR 3.7 LPA respectively, with an NPAT cutoff of 65-67%. NMIMS offers unique integrated dual-degree programs such as B.Tech + MBA and B.Pharm + MBA. The hostel accommodation is limited, with fees ranging from INR 2.5 to 3.5 lakhs per year. Apart from the NMAT, candidates are required to take a Competency Assessment Test and participate in a PI round, as the university does not consider CAT/XAT scores for admissions.
