NID Madhya Pradesh, commonly known as NID Bhopal, is a design institution set up in 2019. Recognized as an “Institution of National Importance,” it operates under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in India. As per the IIRF ranking in 2025, NID Bhopal is placed 2nd out of 30 design colleges nationwide. The institute primarily offers an undergraduate program in design. The flagship course at NID Bhopal is the Bachelor of Design (B.Des). To gain admission, candidates must have completed 10+2 from any recognized board, with selection being determined by the NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test). The fee for the first year of the B.Des program stands at INR 2.92 lakhs. While the 2026 placement report isn't out yet, last year in 2025, NID Bhopal exhibited robust placement outcomes with many students securing jobs across prominent firms throughout the country. For the 2025 batch, the placements were commendable, with the highest package reaching INR 25 LPA and an average package of about INR 10 LPA. Leading companies such as Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Cisco, among others, were top recruiters. Others included Peepal design, Target, Aditya Birla, Cars 24, and Tata Consultancy Services. The placement success rate was 60%. The information suggests that NID Bhopal stands out as a key educational hub in design, offering dynamic opportunities and solid placement paths for its students, supported by its notable ranking and industry connections.
