

St. Xavier's College Kolkata, commonly referred to as SXC Kolkata, was founded in 1860 and is an autonomous institution affiliated with Calcutta University. It holds an 'A++' rating from NAAC. In the 2024 NIRF rankings, it was placed sixth in the overall category. Additionally, The Week placed it ninth for Arts and eighth for Science in the same year. In the 2023-24 academic year, the highest offer during SXC Kolkata's placements was INR 24 LPA, and the average package was INR 14 LPA. More than 600 graduates were placed, which marked a 25% increase from the previous year. Some of the prominent recruiters included McKinsey & Company, Rupeek, DE Shaw & Co, TresVista, and Verizon.
