Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) was set up in 2016 as a government-aided institution. It's recognised by the UGC and AICTE, and accredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade, while it holds an 'A+' rating from ICFRE in the Forestry category. By 2025, Collegedunia awarded it first place in Agriculture, 80th in Animation, 98th in Pharmacy, 119th in Education, and 406th in B.Tech. The IIRF rankings for this year place SHUATS at 18th in Pharmacy and 55th in Journalism, and NIRF ranked it 87th in Pharmacy in 2025. SHUATS’s leading course is the MSc, with admissions based on merit and entrance exams. The complete fee for the MSc programme ranges from INR 1.4 to INR 1.84 Lakhs.
