Savitribai Phule Pune University, often called the 'Oxford of the East', is one of India’s esteemed universities, accredited with an 'A' grade by NAAC and recognized by the UGC. Formerly known as the University of Pune, it secured the 19th spot among India's top universities in the NIRF 2023 rankings. The university boasts more than 700 affiliated colleges, 46 academic departments, and 52 research centers.
